Icy: This kept me from getting out the door, when I had finally convinced myself that I could bundle up enough to brave the weather. I instead was forced to move my 8 on the 8th to the treadmill, where I threw in a good number of hills and still finished in 71:10 or something like that.
Dicey: Driving home from using the treadmill at 7:30AM. While I tend to be slow and easy on the ice (special memories of having a stupid teenage car wreck keep me this way), I find many others particularly in large vehicles think they are smarter than the ice. I watched them slide and I just kept my fingers crossed until I got home.
Spicey: I would love to say I have some really devilish story, but mostly it just rhymed. Plus, you couldn't handle my spicey. So Saturday due to the ice storm some folks decided not to partake of our friends party...us not so much we trucked on over there and had a pretty nice night. Little secret for you... salt trucks they make the roads not so slick...so you can gasp leave the house.
Hilarious to me that our little ice storm causes hysteria and stocking up at the stores and barracading the doors. People up North must think we've lost our damn minds.
This months goals...well I was able to get outside 3 times last week, but if the weather keeps up this week I'm not sure it will happen.
I am doing better about the sweets, though not perfect.
I am getting my veggies and fruits, so all in all...better!

2 Bloggie Friend Thoughts:
Congratulations on your stellar time. I was excited to see I beat your time when you posted on Runner's Lounge, but now that you say you mixed it up with some hills, I have to say you probably would have beat me again when it comes down to it. My time was like a minute and a half faster, but I ran at the same incline the whole 8 miles. Felt good to run faster, but I'd say you ran harder. Good job!
I agree that KC'ians are panzies when it comes to weather. My wife is from Montana, and she laughs evertime we get the "worst storm in history" forecasts and sees everyone running to the store to stock up.
Oh Hi Honey. I'm so sorry I didn't get you in the orginal report. I will definitely add you in. I had a note of a couple people who's blogs I kept on checking that said they were going to do it but I hadn't heard from. I thought I was getting all the updates through email from RL but I must not be. I'm really sorry. I was definitely thinking about you and visiting your site.
I will add this in. Thanks so much for running with us!
